Sleeveless Overcoat-style dress

Formals have always been our weakness. With the times pacing on ever faster, we must upgrade. Sleeveless, long and flowing, over wide trousers; a few words you should memorise. Hemline borders are being toned down, and belts and bodices – both waistcoat- and overcoat-style – are becoming ever more prominent.
First up, for the bold you, is the hot pink overcoat-style dress. Worked in pale gold and diamantes, it features minimalistic pseudo-sleeves of lacy, pale gold crochet, and a matching Chinese collar. The coat is covered in sophisticated gold and diamante embroidery of classical pillars and bouquets, while the under-shirt bears a prominent motif also of the same work. The black dress, for the glamorous you, has pale intricate embroidery covering the bodice waist-coat style, with a big brooch adorning the centre. The skirt of the dress is in alternating panels of different fabrics, with a muted hemline in dark print. For the playful you, try out the dress-style crème with a ruffled and gold-worked hemline. The skirt is painted in alluring gold and the top is heavily pleated. A gold belt adds the finishing touch.
Lastly, for the casual you, is the dark blue chiffon fantasy, over a printed black slip. The bodice is brightly embroidered in white with a wide, printed border at the hem.
